These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website slumbrsleep.co.za and the services offered through it by Slumbr Sleep Clinic ("Slumbr", "we", "us", "our"). By using the website, completing the Slumbr Sleep Pattern Assessment™, booking a consultation or buying a product, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy, which form part of these Terms.

1. Who we are and who may use the Services

Slumbr Sleep Clinic is a South African, physician-led online sleep clinic and retailer of non-prescription sleep-support products. Our consultations are provided by practitioners registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). The Services are intended for users in South Africa who are 18 years or older. By using the Services you confirm that you meet these requirements.

2. Important medical disclaimer — please read

  • Slumbr does not provide emergency care. If you are in crisis or have a medical emergency, contact your nearest emergency service or hospital immediately. For mental-health crises in South Africa, you can call the SADAG Suicide Crisis Line on 0800 567 567.
  • The Slumbr Sleep Pattern Assessment™ is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. It does not replace a professional medical assessment.
  • Our products are non-prescription, Schedule 0 sleep-support products. They are intended to support healthy sleep and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or to replace medical advice.
  • Prescription medicine is never sold directly. It may only be considered after a consultation, where a practitioner judges it clinically appropriate.
  • Information on the website is general in nature and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your individual circumstances.

3. Consultations

Consultations are booked and paid for through the website, with your chosen time slot attached to the order. On successful payment you will receive a confirmation, a calendar invitation and a secure video link. Consultation fees are for the practitioner's professional time and advice; they do not guarantee a prescription or any specific outcome. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms for consultations are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy. You agree to provide accurate and complete information; clinical decisions rely on the honesty and completeness of what you tell us.

4. Products

Our sleep-support products are Schedule 0 and do not require a prescription. They are not registered as medicines: in line with South African requirements, this unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use where that statement appears on a product. Always read the label and use the product as directed. Do not use a supplement if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are under 18, or are taking other medication, without first seeking professional advice. Product images are illustrative and we may update formulations and packaging.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders already accepted. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment provider; we do not store your card details. Your order is an offer to buy, which we accept when we confirm the order or render the service.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the website — including the Slumbr name and logo, the Slumbr Sleep Pattern Assessment™, text, graphics and design — is owned by or licensed to Slumbr Sleep Clinic and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Services lawfully and not to interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use them to provide false information or to harm others.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slumbr is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or products, or from reliance on general information on the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any liability or right that may not be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act. Our duty of professional care in providing clinical services is unaffected by this clause.

9. Privacy

We process your personal information, including health information, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and POPIA. By using the Services you acknowledge that Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@slumbrsleep.co.za so we can try to resolve it. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including any right to refer a dispute to the relevant ombud or tribunal, are unaffected.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your use applies. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
